5 Keys to Get Started With PPC Advertising

Post on Jun 12th 2008

PPC advertising is growing rapidly, and if done right it can strengthen your internet advertising considerably. The idea is to get people to click on your ad as a link to your website. Here are 5 keys to making sure you get the most out of your targeted PPC advertising and boost your internet business.

Key 1: Make Sure Your Targets on the Mark

Use good keywords that you know your customers would search for. Dont use phrases just because they sound clever--thats not targeting. Know how your customers think and adapt to it. They are the key to your success.

Key 2: Use Specific Words in Your Ad Title

Use your keywords in your targeted PPC advertising as well as the old tried and true words like free, instant, and gift. Discount is also another good choice, as is coupon.

Key 3: Simplicity is Key

You dont have words to waste in targeted PPC advertising. Be a miser with words and only use the best ones. People dont want to read a story, they came for information. Dont waste their time and they will click.

Key 4: Give Information

If you dont offer your prospective customer information about you, they have no reason to click on your ad. Again, be frugal with words as well as simple.

Key 5: Use Categories

Targeted PPC advertising falls into three categories because the engines separate them this way--service, products, and keywords. Know which to use for your ads.
