New York Mets: 2006 Baseball Betting Season Preview
One word that comes to mind when thinking about the Mets is "bust". I guess a close second would be "loser". If you have ever bet on the Mets, then you would know that they have lost their backers 54 units over the past 4 seasons. Last year year was the first time in the past 4 season for them post an above 500 record. Pedro Martinez had a lot to d...

San Diego Padres: 2006 Baseball Betting Season Preview
The San Diego Padres had a very disappointing 2005 MLB Season. After posting 87 victories in 2004, they won 5 fewer games. Their cryptonite in the 2004 MLB season was their play at home. Petco park was new and the Padres hitters had trouble adjusting. As a result, they were only 3 games above 500 all year at home. In the 2005 season, their batter a...

New York Yankees: 2006 Baseball Betting Season
The Yankees are a team you just do not bet on. There is so much public attention given to them and so much hype that betting on them has very little value.Over the past 7 years, these Yankees are a 60% club but -60 units. They win their games but because of the juice cost their backers the bank when they lose. They had their worst season in 2005 ge...

Tampa Bay Devilrays Handicapping: 2006 Season Preview
When people think about slum teams in baseball, they think of the Devil Rays. They average about 65 wins a season over the past 7 seasons. This is 97 losses. So you can imagine always betting against them, right?I would beg to differ. The past two seasons at home, these Devil Rays were 81-80 (+15 units). They are so bad on the road that their decen...

Cleveland Indians Handicapping: 2006 Season Preview
From 2003 to 2004, the Cleveland Indians improved by 12 wins. They followed that up by improving by another 13 wins. Where will these Cleveland Indians be in 2006?It is easy to expect a lot from these Indians. They have a young cohesive hitting lineup. No chemistry problems on the team at all. Their pitching staff is actually pretty decent consider...

Colorado Rockies Handicapping: 2006 Season Preview
Much like the rest of the National League West, the Colorado Rockies are just horrible. Bad. Pathetic. Shall I go far as to say they are as bad as a Minor League team?Despite being so bad, these Rockies have always proven to have a strong home field advantage. Over the past 7 seasons, these Rockies are 302-265 (53%) +9 units. On the road, they are ...

A Puke-Worthy Performance
Alex Rodriquez got sick on the West Coast trip, and then he made Yankee fans sick.Rodriquez had one lousy hit in 15 at-bats against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and if the Yanks are to possibly get past the Angels if they were to meet again this October, or anyone else for that matter, Rodriquez must once again become A-rod, not K-rod or E-ro...
